Cookie Policy
Last Updated: January 18, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Create Your Desire uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website and application. It should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy. By using our site, you consent to the use of cookies as described in this policy. You have the option to manage your cookie preferences as explained below.
1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, smartphone, etc.) by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site. Cookies can be "persistent" (remaining on your device for a set period of time or until you delete them) or "session" cookies (which are deleted when you close your browser).
Local Storage and Session Storage are web technologies that allow a website or application to store data locally on your browser. Like cookies, they can remember information between sessions, but they are not sent in HTTP requests. We use local storage for some purposes that are similar to cookies (e.g., storing a session ID or remembering your preferences). In this policy, when we refer to "cookies," we also include these similar technologies for simplicity.
2. How We Use Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and local storage to:
- Authenticate and Secure Your Session: When you log in, our system sets an authentication token (or cookie) to keep you logged in as you navigate through different pages. This is essential for the Service to recognize that requests coming from your browser belong to an authenticated user. It also helps in preventing fraudulent use of your account. This cookie/token is typically a secure, HttpOnly cookie or stored token that contains encrypted information about your session (like your user ID and session expiry). It ensures you don't have to log in again on every page.
- Remember Preferences and Consents: We use a local storage key to save your cookie consent decision (cookie-consent-given). When you first visit, we show a cookie consent banner (if required by law) for you to accept or decline non-essential cookies. Once you choose, we store your preference so that we don't keep asking you. We might also use cookies/local storage to remember other settings or preferences you have set, such as interface customizations or whether you dismissed a tutorial popup, etc. These improve your experience by remembering your choices.
- Analytics and Usage Tracking: We use an internal analytics system to understand how our site is used. For that, we utilize a session identifier stored in local storage (for example, analytics_session_id). This is a random ID that gets generated when you first visit and is used to group your actions into a session for analysis (like "User X viewed these pages during a visit"). This helps us count unique sessions and see how a single session navigates our site. Importantly, this ID is only used internally and isn't shared with third parties. We do not use Google Analytics or advertising trackers that follow you across sites. Our analytics cookie/local storage does not track you outside our own domain. We also may log an anonymous user ID to count unique visitors, but it's not tied to your real identity except in our database. If you opt out of analytics (by declining non-essential cookies), we will disable or not set this session tracking ID, and we will minimize our collection of your usage events.
- Functionality: We may use certain cookies to enable specific features or gather information about your device to improve the Service. For example, if we implement a feature that needs to know if you have previously taken an action (like a one-time survey or beta feature announcement), a cookie might be set to remember that you've seen it so as not to show it again.
We do not use cookies for any advertising purposes or to share data with third-party ad networks. We also do not use tracking pixels or social media cookies at this time. All cookies in use are primarily first-party (set by our site) and for the purposes above.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
We can categorize the cookies/local storage we use into a few types:
3.1. Essential Cookies
These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually only set in response to your actions, such as logging in or filling out forms. Without these cookies, services you have asked for (like maintaining your login session) cannot be provided.
- Authentication Cookie/Token: When you sign in, we set a secure session cookie (or a combination of cookies) to authenticate you. For example, Supabase Auth may set a cookie named something like sb-access-token or similar, which contains your JWT token for authentication. (Exact name and behavior may vary based on implementation.) This cookie/tokens are essential for protecting your account and must be allowed. They typically last for the duration of your session or a set expiration. If it's a persistent cookie (to remember you for a "keep me logged in" feature), it may last longer, but you can always log out to clear it.
- CSRF Token Cookie (if applicable): We might use a cookie to prevent cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks in forms. This cookie ensures that form submissions or certain state-changing requests actually come from you.
- cookie-consent-given (Local Storage): This is stored when you respond to the cookie consent banner. It simply holds a boolean or value indicating your choice (e.g., "true" for consent given). This is essential in the sense that it helps us remember your privacy preference, although it's not crucial for site function. We treat it as a necessary cookie because without it we couldn't honor your choice without asking every time.
These essential cookies do not store any personal data beyond what's strictly needed, and they are not used for marketing.
3.2. Functional and Preference Cookies
These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization. They may be set by us to remember your settings and choices.
- User Preferences: If our app has any features that remember preferences (like dark mode on/off, language selection, or UI layout choices), we would store those either in local storage or a cookie. For instance, a local storage item might store theme: "dark" if you chose dark mode, so that each time you return we apply that theme.
- Miscellaneous Local Storage: We may use sessionStorage or localStorage for transient data that improves your experience (for example, caching some data so the app loads faster, or storing form data you've entered if needed to prevent loss on refresh). These are not traditional "cookies" but serve similar roles in remembering information. They are only accessible by our site's scripts and not shared.
These functional cookies/local storage entries are optional in the sense that the site can run without them, but some features may become less convenient or may not retain your preferences. They do not track your browsing on other sites and are only intended for your experience on Create Your Desire.
3.3. Analytics Cookies
As described, we use an internal analytics session ID stored in local storage to identify unique sessions and persist session info across pages. We may also use a cookie or local storage to throttle request rates or to remember that you've opted out of analytics.
- analytics_session_id (Local Storage): A random identifier used to tie together events in a session. For example, if you log in and visit 3 pages, this ID helps us know those events belong to the same visit. This ID is generated client-side and stored in your browser. We set it to expire by not using it beyond a session and by resetting it after a period of inactivity (or you can clear it manually by clearing site data). We automatically delete older analytics data in our system after 90 days, so even if the ID remained, the event data tied to it is removed on our end after that time. If you do not consent to analytics, this ID will not be set/used.
- Telemetry/Crash cookies (if any): In future, if we use any third-party error tracking (like Sentry) or similar, there might be a cookie to track a device ID for error reporting. Currently, we do not have such integration. If we add it, we will update this policy accordingly.
These analytics cookies are used only by us to improve our service. We treat them as non-essential (you can opt out).
Vercel Analytics & Speed Insights: Additionally, we use Vercel Analytics for basic site usage analytics and Vercel Speed Insights for performance monitoring. Vercel Analytics is cookie-free and does not use local storage. It collects minimal, anonymized data about page views without tracking individual users across sites. Vercel Speed Insights collects only performance metrics (Core Web Vitals) and does not use cookies or tracking identifiers. Both services are provided by our hosting platform and are privacy-compliant by design.
3.4. Third-Party Cookies
Our website itself is designed not to set third-party cookies (cookies set by domains other than createyourdesire.com.au). However, when interacting with certain external services, you might encounter third-party cookies. Examples include:
- Stripe Checkout: If you are redirected to a Stripe checkout page or using Stripe Elements on our site, Stripe may set cookies on their domain or on ours to manage the checkout process and prevent fraud. These could include cookies like __stripe_sid or __stripe_mid which are used for payment session management and fraud detection. These cookies are controlled by Stripe, but are necessary for processing payments securely.
- OnlyFans Integration: Using the OnlyFans integration may involve being directed to OnlyFans or using their API through a third-party. OnlyFans might set their own cookies when you log in via their OAuth or when content is fetched/displayed from their side. Those cookies would be subject to OnlyFans' cookie policy.
- Embedded Content: We currently do not embed content like YouTube videos or social media widgets that set cookies. If in the future we do, such embedded content from third-party websites might set cookies. We will endeavor to use a "no-cookie" embed mode where possible or disclose such usage.
We do not have control over cookies set by third-party websites, even if you access them through our Service. We recommend you review the cookie policies of those providers for information on what they do.
4. Your Choices: Managing Cookies
Consent Banner: On your first visit, or if you are in a jurisdiction that requires consent (like the EU), we will present a cookie consent banner. You can choose to accept all cookies or decline the non-essential ones. If you decline, we will still set the essential cookies but will not set analytics cookies or other optional ones. Your choice will be remembered via the cookie-consent-given storage. If you need to change your preference later, you can do so by clearing the cookie-consent-given entry (which will cause the banner to appear again on refresh), or by using a "Cookie Settings" link if we provide one on the site.
Browser Settings: Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings preferences. You can usually:
- Delete all cookies stored on your browser.
- Block all cookies (note: this may break logins and essential features).
- Allow cookies from specific sites (whitelist).
- Block third-party cookies (which is a good way to prevent tracking across sites).
- Set exceptions or get notifications when cookies are being set.
Consult your browser's help documentation for how to adjust cookie settings. For example, in Chrome you can go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data. In Safari, Preferences > Privacy. In Firefox, Options > Privacy & Security.
Opt-Out of Analytics: Since we do not use Google Analytics, there's no need for a GA opt-out. If you have consented to our internal analytics but later wish to opt out, you can delete the analytics session ID by clearing site data or use our site's settings if available to toggle analytics off. You can also use a browser's Do Not Track feature – while there's no standard enforcement, if we detect a Do Not Track signal and local law requires, we will treat it as an opt-out of analytics.
Do Not Track Signals: Our site does not currently respond to DNT headers in a different way than our normal cookie control, because we do not do cross-site tracking. However, if DNT is enabled, rest assured we're not doing anything to profile you across other sites.
Impact of Disabling Cookies: If you disable or delete cookies, some parts of our Service might not function properly. For example, if you block all cookies, our system may not be able to keep you logged in as you navigate, meaning you could be logged out every page load, which would effectively make the service unusable. Blocking cookies could also disable the cookie consent memory, causing the banner to pop up each time. We recommend allowing at least essential cookies for the site to work, and use the provided options to manage others.
5. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. If we do, we will post the updated version with a new "Last Updated" date. If the changes are significant, we may provide a more prominent notice or seek consent for material changes if required by law.
We encourage you to review this Cookie Policy periodically to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies.
